IPC/WHMA-A-620 provides in-depth detail and current acceptability requirements to the electronic and cable harness industry. Based on 3 levels of classes, IPC/WHMA-A-620 describes a wide range of industry related information including materials, tools and preparation, crimping with various styles of contacts, IDC & flat cable, splicing, ultrasonic welding, connectors, overmolding, potting, coaxial assemblies and final installation processes. IPC/WHMA-A-620 is an industry developed program focussing on enhancing individuals skills with an emphasis on inspection and quality acceptance. The discipline is modular based with module 1 being mandatory and the remaining content divided into optional modules including practical hands on skills modules. The discipline is an industry recognised program and students are awarded a certificate upon successful completion.
